Coffee at Housewifes ends up in cramped fingers

I go to Housewife's most days on my way home from work for coffee, an interested person to tell my day to (as opposed to my 14 year old daughter who really doesn't care what I do), and just to sit with my best friend.

Now housewife has 5 dogs, a cat that is big enough to be made from two, and a very vocal Guinea Pig that belongs to her border. Needless to say it is a busy household and all of the pets enjoy attention when they can get it.
I sip my wonderful organic coffee, which is strong enough to jolt me awake at the end of my work day and reach down to pet Monte. Monte is the least intrusive of the 5 dogs and often because he is so quiet gets a little left out. My pets turn to a massage as Monte gives a little doggy sigh which apparently is the sign for the line up to begin. It happens often but still makes me giggle. Sir Reginald is sitting patiently beside Monte and as Monte receives the last strokes of his massage and walks away Reginald slips under my hand bumping me to let me know that I may now begin. Patches is next and not so patient while he awaits his turn. He rolls under my feet trying to trip Sir Reggie and get in there before his turn. Reg keeps to his feet and stays until I have given him the full body treatment. Patches accepts my massage with lovely googley doggy eyes in which I can see the adoration and appreciation. Winston and Bullet the beagle are next and are waiting in line. Honestly they do line up and unlike the grade 8 and 9s that I work with in school have some patience. Wintston being the gentleman he is lets Bullet go first, Bully boy is an elderly beagle with many sore spots so I gentle massage the old boy . Winston an Airdale is actually my favorite of all is next and he talks away to me as I massage his long back and nuzzle his curly head.

Through the dog massages Housewife and I have had time to solve all sorts of world problems, discuss the pros and cons of a certain lipstick, shared laughs and tears. We have forged a wonderful friendship without which I would not be the same person I am today. Hubby at times gets a little jealous of our time together but he knows that my Best friend means the world to me and is learning to grin and bear it............slowly and without much grace.
Oh well what can I expect he is a man after all.

Have a joyous day all!
