Peaches..While watching memoirs of a Geisha
I have always been drawn to Oriental artwork. Many of the first things Hubby and I bought together to decorate our home were from Calgarys Oriental district. Parasols hung from the ceiling and fans were on the wall. We may have moved on in our decor tastes but I still admire the artwork and culture of the Orient........
Anyway the reason I started down this road was, I had been planning to do this Geisha girl (in black ink then watercolor) that I have entitled "Peaches," when Hubby came home with Memoirs of a Geisha to watch on dvd. I guess after 17 years of marraige we really can read one anothers minds once in a while.
Also I received a wonderful Oriental flavoured ATC named "BranchesLB" from an artist friend of mine in the states named Marta. We both belong to the finearts atc group on yahoo and I just have to share her card here with you all as it fits the Oriental theme of the day.
